Liberty Village Townhomes

The townhomes complex is crisscrossed with paths and promenades leading east and west and north and south.  At the eastern end of the complex is a small park (Gateway Park) where many people take their dogs for a walk.

The Liberty Village Townhomes are comprised of a total of 464 upscale, modern and luxurious units of stacked townhouses.  The townhouses are an engaging Georgian inspired architectural style with grand stone mouldings, large balconies tucked away, and an abundance of oversized windows.   They are not all laid out in rows, but rather reflect the flare of the landscaped piazza concept in their arrangement.

These urban townhouses were the first phase of the development to be constructed in the revitalized eastern part of Liberty Village.  They were built by CanAlfa.  The original owners started moving in the fall of 2004.

The street names where these urban townhomes are situated are called 46 East Liberty Street, 50 East Liberty Street, 54 East Liberty Street, 22 Western Battery Road, 26 Western Battery Road, 30 Western Battery Road, 34 Western Battery Road, 38 Western Battery Road, 42 Western Battery Road, 46 Western Battery Road, and 50 Western Battery Road, and 21 Pirandello St.

Numerous pathways, plazas and open spaces criss-cross the townhouse area making it a livable area, and easy for residents to walk through and access the development from any direction.

After a busy day, breathe deep and restore your feeling of harmony, while sitting in the Liberty Village Townhomes’ Rose Garden located towards the western end of the townhouse complex.   The Rose Garden is your great healing personal perfumery, an oasis of aromatherapy, within the hustle and bustle of the neighbourhood.

The Rose Garden is a raised area with steps and is enclosed by a metal fence.  It has benches for seating.  We visited the Rose Garden at the end of October and found roses in bloom even so late into the fall season.

There is a linear park called Bill Johnston Park running along Western Battery Road that is easily accessible by the townhomes.  The landscaping is really well done with a large variety of shrubs, trees and flowers.

One considerable feature of these townhomes is the existence of substantial outdoor terraces.   With these townhomes, the focus is on outdoor space with each and every townhome in the village.   The upper level units have rooftop terraces while, the main floor and split level units have a combination of street level and ground floor terraces.

These townhomes offer outdoor alfresco living at its best.   You will surely not find a townhome development with such an abundance of large terraces anywhere else in downtown Toronto!

The interiors of the Liberty Village Townhomes are modern and have large open concept living/dining areas.  The kitchens are well designed and many have a breakfast bar allowing for the ultimate in convenience.  Bedrooms are spacious, and available dens serve as home office spaces.

Access to underground parking is through the covered parking entrances that are accessible via a variety of access points through the townhouse complex.
